Camp Description
Our filmmaking, art and other day camps are held on Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4:30 PM, by age group. Participants are welcome to sign up for as many weeks as they wish. Each week is as different as is each film so each week is a new and fun learning experience.
- The week involves making a film in one week, including the writing, filming, acting and editing.
- Camp participants are grouped by age and no previous experience is required.
- Each film crew (team) has two staff Instructors, where possible a male and female.
- Games and outings are planned by instructors to give participants a break from movie making.
- We understand that acting is not for everyone so camp participants can chose to work in front of the camera, behind the camera, or both.
- The camp supplies the equipment and materials
- Participants bring a nut-free lunch, sunscreen and water.
- Returning participants join new groups so they make films with other instructors and participants.
Other Examples of Camps:
- Animation camps run similar to film camps, and also vary week to week because the product changes as the groups do.
- Art camps are where participants learn all sorts of techniques. Depending upon the production or drying time, each day could mean learning a new form of art or it could be an extension of the day before – painting, drawing, crafts, and more. Each camp is different and parents can confirm the topics before registering.
- Writing camps often cover poetry, creative writing and screen writing.
- Music camps focus on scoring music for video.
