PotterFest Events:
– Live Performance: The event will begin with the projection of a Harry Potter film on a large screen. However, the audio will be muted, and instead, the dialogue and action are performed live by actors on a stage in front of the screen. The actors are dressed in costumes that accurately represent the characters from the film, and they perform the actions and dialogue in sync with the silent film.
– Interactive Experiences: Attendees will participate in wand-making workshops, potion classes, and Potter games. These hands-on activities will foster creativity and community engagement. Examples: wand-making, potion-making, sorting hat ceremony, and Harry Potter themed painting. We’ll set up interactive stations throughout Windsor’s parks and public spaces.
– Four Harry Potter Themed Meals: Four evening meals will be served in a themed banquet prepared by local chefs, inspired by the feasts in the Great Hall as described in the Harry Potter books. The menu includes a variety of dishes with examples like: ‘Mrs. Weasley’s Sandwiches’, ‘Hagrid’s Rock Cakes’, ‘Pumpkin Pasties’, ‘Treacle Tarts’, ‘Chocolate Frogs and Snitches’, and more.
A Weekend Themed Film Camp will also be offered:
– Harry Potter Themed Camp Weekend: During the day, the facility will transform into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Scripts will be written in advance due to time constraints. Each of the two days will be filled with a variety of activities for b-roll that will be both fun and educational. Children will sorted into one of the four Hogwarts houses – Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin – and participate in a series of “classes” inspired by the films. These will include Potions, where they learn about chemistry through hands-on experiments; Charms, where they explore the physics behind flying objects; and Herbology, where they learn about different plants and their properties.
Plans are under way!
