About Jaxon
Jaxon Moore was a videographer/ photographer based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. His journey as a videographer started when he was in high school. He was always interested in photography and filmmaking, and would spend hours tinkering with his camera, experimenting with different angles and lighting. When he was 16, he got his first camera, and he was hooked. He loved the creative process of capturing moments and telling stories through video.
After graduating from high school, he decided to pursue his passion for videography and enrolled in the University of Windsor’s BFA Film program where he would have entered his final year. In his time at the university, under the name Action Jaxon on Instagram, he created an amazing back catalogue of photos, videos, and movies you can all still find today on his Instagram and YouTube. He was a vital part of the film community in the Windsor-Essex county area and his love for film was felt through every person he had the chance to come across.
Unfortunately on June 20th, his life was abruptly cut short when he passed away in his sleep due to an unknown heart condition, but this doesn’t mean our love for him and his legacy won’t live on. Jaxon was a promising young man who had everything going for him and was going to make it big in this industry. This tribute show along with The Action Jaxon Film Festival were created to keep his legacy alive, inspire young creative minds, and bring them together with people alike.
Purpose of this fund
The Jaxon Moore Memorial Bursary Fund for financially disadvantaged children and teens aged 9–17 who want to attend camp completely free of charge. This initiative was created to provide youth in Windsor, Ontario with more opportunities and access to filmmaking that they may not have had otherwise. With each donation, you’re helping an aspiring young filmmaker just like Jaxon gain the chance to learn, create, and collaborate with real filmmakers and fellow peers.
The donation link will remain active year-round. Future events, including our tribute show and the annual Action Jaxon Film Festival, will allocate a portion of their proceeds directly to the Jaxon Moore Memorial Bursary Fund, which will be distributed to applicants as needed.
General Donations and Sponsorships Info Below – Thank you in advance for your Charitable Donation

Sponsorships and charitable donations to the Media Arts Community Centre for Film camp for Kids and Youth help to provide spaces for low-income children and youth referred to us by local charities, faith groups and healthcare centres. We sometimes use donations for essential camp supplies such as water, snacks, and art materials but usually to create spaces for low-income children and teens who can truly benefit from our program.
When we receive requests directly from families, we ask them to have a charity or faith group send us a letter on their behalf since we have no way to confirm need or income level. A letter is sent to us explaining why the family needs support, which really helps us decide if the youth a free or partial pay (modest fee) participant.
The camp environment fosters a sense of belonging and support, which can alleviate feelings of isolation and anxiety for many. Additionally, the structured activities and mentorship from experienced instructors help children and youth develop resilience and coping strategies, contributing positively to their overall mental well-being.
Many youth meet like-minded friends from all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds at camp, whom they may not have connected with at school or from a different school. In just one summer their will bond and plan to sign up together the next summer. For many it’s a life-changing experience.
