How to Write a Script for a Short Film – Ages 10-15
Writing a script for a short film is very different from a feature film or a TV show. In this class, students learn how to write a script for a 5-minute film and create their own script with the instructor.
Storyboarding – Ages 10-15
Before film production begins, the director often works with the screenwriter to draw out the visuals of the film. In this class, students will learn about how storyboarding is done and how storyboards affect the final look of a film.
Cinematography – Ages 12-17
Students learn the different types of shots, how to compose them, and how filmmakers can use them to showcase a story.
The Basics of a DSLR Camera – Ages 10-15
Students will learn how Shutter Speed, Aperture, and ISO affect the look of a film, and how filming on a DSLR Camera works.
Advanced Cinematography – Ages 15-17
As a follow up to our Cinematography Class, Advanced Cinematography goes more in-depth in the methods discussed and demonstrates more techniques as students learn how to film on Digital Cameras.
Editing for Beginners – Ages 14-17
Learn to tell your story. With specific cuts, colouring, and audio, the moods and emotions within a story are brought out to influence the viewer. In this class, students will learn the basics of editing on Adobe Premiere to better convey a story.
How to Edit on Final Cut Pro – Ages 14-17
Final Cut Pro is an Apple Editing software used at the Film Camp to Edit Short Films. In this class, students will learn how to edit a short film and use a series of clips to edit their own 30-second film.
Directing 101 – Ages 15-17
Learn the role of the director, and some of the techniques directors use when directing a scene.
