Participants work in ‘production teams’ of 4-6 people to make a film each week. Classes include screenplay writing, pre-production, film editing, acting, cinematography, set design and more. Children will learn in a hands-on, fast-pace, facilitated learning environment with tight deadlines – mentors and coaches help to make the experience memorable and fun. Thanks to the contributions from the community-at-large, we can also offer walking tours and location shoots to help boost creativity in filmmaking. Besides our great space, we have new DRSL cameras, iMACs, Final Cut Pro X, wall screens, projectors, tripods and more.
Thanks also to Amanda Gellman founded the camp and is Chair of the Board of the Windsor Centre for Film, Digital Media & the Creative Arts which hosts the program. Her company is a major sponsor and a long-term partner. In this volunteer capacity, Amanda serves as the Producer of Film Camp for Kids & Youth.
