MINIATURE MODEL-MAKING WORKSHOP (February 10, 17, 24)

Ages 9-17

Time: 1PM- 4PM

Cost: $130 for all three sessions ($40/class plus $10 materials)

Number of Students: Minimum 6, Maximum 12

Learn to make a miniature set for use in a stop-motion project, as a background plate, or for a diorama!

 

SOCIAL MEDIA SAFETY (February 25)

Ages 9-17

Time: 1PM- 4PM

Cost: $40

Number of Students: Minimum 6, Maximum 12

A crash course for youth who want to protect their identity and technology while using a variety of online platforms.  

 

MARCH BREAK FILM CAMP (March 12-15)

Ages 12-17

Time: 9AM- 4:30PM

Cost: $160 for all 4 days – Monday through Thursday

Number of Students: Minimum 6, Maximum 25

Similar to summer filmmaking camps, but fewer field trips.  Movies are made in teams. 
 

MOVIE POSTER MAKING (March 16 – last day of March Break)

Ages 9-17

Time: 9AM-4:30PM

Cost: $80 for full day class.

Number of Students: Minimum 8 Maximum 15

What does it take to make an eye-catching movie poster? Come find out and make one yourself!

 

STORYBOARDING (March 18, 25)

Ages 9-17

Time: 1PM-4PM

Cost: $80 for two classes

Number of Students: Minimum 5, Maximum 20

Learn how to use one of a director and cinematographer’s most important tools in bringing their vision to life!

 

LEGO Stop-Motion (March 23 – PA Day)

Ages 9-17

Time: 9AM- 4:30PM

Cost: $80 for full day class

Number of Students: Minimum 5, Maximum 20

Spend the whole day making movies using this common toy!

EDITING MOVIE TRAILERS (March 24, 31)

Ages 9-17

Time: 1PM-4PM

Cost: $80 for two classes

Number of Students: Minimum 5, Maximum 20

Learn all the tips and tricks a trailer editor uses to make a successful movie trailer, and edit one on your own!

 

BACKGROUND PAINTING (April 7, 14, 21, 28)

Ages 12-17

Time: 1PM-4PM

Cost: $160 for all four sessions ($40/class)

Number of Students: Minimum 5, Maximum 10.

Before green screens, artists painted magnificent backdrops for all kinds of settings—now you can too! Students will work together to design, draw, and paint a background mural in the Film Camp headquarters!

 

STOP-MOTION ANIMATION COURSE (April 29, 6, 20, 27)

Ages 11-15 (Students must demonstrate great patience and interest)

Time: 1PM-4PM

Cost: $160 ($40/class)

Students will work together to create a short stop-motion film over the course of four classes—using elements from previous classes.

 

PROP MAKING SERIES: FANTASY ESSENTIALS

Ages: 9-17

Cost: $50 ($40/ session + $10 materials)

Number of Students: Minimum 6, Maximum 20

  • May 26: SAFE SWORDS

This is the first in a series of programs designed to teach the art of crafting props. This particular triad of classes revolves around the theme of common fantasy tropes.
