March Break Camp
March Break Camps are hosted for youth, 9-15 years old, grouped in teams by age. As with our summer camps, each team makes a film during the week.
Dates: March 11-14 (Monday-Thursday)
Like all of our film boot camps, we have a ratio of one instructor per 5-7 participants. This is important as it ensures that each film production team can work independently and safely at various film shoot locations, all based on script concepts created by the teams. This “boot camp” atmosphere requires teams to follow guidelines and meet strict deadlines in order to produce a film in a week. The final product is shown to families on the final day and later posted on YouTube.
Many students are repeat customers since the team members and scripts are always changing, so no movie making experience is ever the same. This is always a memorable and fun learning experience for everyone.
PLEASE NOTE: The March Break Camp is from Monday-Thursday. Friday is a separate course or workshop. This year, we are running:
“It’s Alive! A Creature sculpting workshop”
$80 for full day
If you’ve been to Film Camp in the last year, you’ve probably noticed the amazing movie monster and alien insect sculptures on display at the camp. These were made by our Youth Program Coordinator, Aaron Fauteux, who is excited to share his love of sculpting (and weird creatures) with local youth!
Sculpture supplies included! (Remember to bring a lunch!)
